    Mark,
I tried to see this live and it did not work. I have a question about adding a Triggerfish to my tank. The issue I have is a Titan Trigger in the tank alone and he destroys anything that is in the tank with him. Can you recommend a Triggerfish that is compatible with the Titan to put in with her safely?

    Thank you,
    Dave Schwartz

Dave, Blue Throat Triggerfish (Xanthichthys auromarginatus) buy when it’s smaller in size… I have had great luck with the two I own.

Mark, how do you recommend cleaning my sand bed?? it is quite old and i think that it may have some trapped nutrients in it. its about 3 inches deep and when i do stir it up a little, all my rock looks to be covered in a snot looking flim….any thoughts, thanks.

    Mark,
Are you sponsored by companies to review or market their items? If so, what companies?? I know that you review many different products and manufacturers and I just wondered if you get perks and even paid from these companies to do so.

    Thanks,
    Mike

On your tank-build seminars, will you be suggesting the best brands of equipment for said build? I will be upgrading to a 240 or 300 fish/liverock tank this fall and want to do it right the first time. Not like in the past where I will buy something then later to more of a supposed better one..ex. skimmer. Thanks a bunch

    Mark,

what do you think about running a quarantine tank (fish/coral etc) that is part of the sump meaning water from the sump flows into the quarantine tank and back into the sump. Too much hassle to run a totally separate system?

    Mark,
I have several of your books and now have set up 3 saltwater tanks in my house. The first two tanks I started with live rock and my 3 tank I started with the bulk dry reef rock. How long does it take the dry rock to turn live and change from the white color it is the other colors of live rock.
