Hi Mark, I have now purchased all of your guides. They helped me out a great deal! I purchased an Apex and was wondering how to gain access to your Apex instructions?

Mark, Are the printed versions in color or black & white? I’m sure there are pictures in the at least one of the guides and was curious.

  • jrock…the printed QT guide has pages with color photos printed in color. The rest of the guide is in black and white

    Hi Mark,

I purchased several of yor Guides and find that they contain very useful knowledge that is easy to implement. Thanks!

Could you please cover an epsoide on aiptasia? I’m currently in the middle of a very frustrating outbreak.

    Thank,
    Fleming

  • Thanks for the note Fleming and the kind works about my guides. I recommend an army of peppermint shrimp to battle the aiptasia. You’ll need a small army (e.g. 20 for a 55g tank) and they’ll eat everything else (detritus, etc) then move onto the aiptasia. No guarantee they’ll eat them, but I’ve found the army approach to work well.

i was thinking of starting up a salt water reef tank, in my opinion it will be a reef tank, and i was curious as to what the max amount of fish in a 24 gallon nano cube you would recomend is.

  • killroy…depends on the fish and here’s a suggestion: mated pair of ocellaris or percula clownfish, firefish, yellow watchman goby, 1x chromis

Hi Mark. I am interested in getting some if your guides but it doesn’t look like your site is secure if I use a credit card. Is this right? I don’t have a Paypal and am not really keen to get one for one purchase.

  • Mike…my checkout software does use a secure connection. Also, you don’t have to have a PayPal account to use Paypal. You can always use PayPal to process your credit/check card via their secure connection. Whether you use my checkout software, or PayPal, either way it is secure.

    Hello Mark,

I like to order all your guides in paper back. Not the PDF. Can you tell me the cost of that?

    Thanks.

  • Chris…the bundle of 5 printed guide is $285 and includes the ebook version, the printed copies and access to the member’s only videos.

  • Chris says:

Thanks Mark. I chose to try 2 of the PDF versions. Just paid to be sure I got the 30% discount. I look forward to reading them. I have a question for you if you have the time. I run two little fishes phosban. And it states not to have it tumbling. But mist people say to have it tumbling. I chose not to listen to them and follow the directions where it says not to have it tumble. I also fear the gfo will turn to dust and then enter the tank. My question is to tumble or not. To keep it easy.

    Thanks
    Chris

  • Chris…If the instructions say not to have it tumble, I would do that. If you were using GFO, then I’d tell you to have it gently tumble, but not grind. Thanks for your order and happy holidays.

Hey Mark, first off, great site and thanks for the videos, you’ve made my life a lot easier with my reef tank. I was looking to purchase all of your guides, and it seems I have missed the sale for Christmas. Is there any package deal if I buy all of the .pdf’s or paperbacks? If not I understand. Thanks!

  • Rick says:

Amar P. I had the same request, didn’t get my Christmas money till the day after the sale ended. I felt the package deal price should have been still available till at least the 26th. Cause me to have to pay full pop for the first two guides.

    Hi Mark,
Thanks so much for this great site and the easy to understand books for us newbies. I’m sure I would have bagged these tanks by now.
I ordered a second book from you and apparently ordered it twice. Could you email me to discuss a solution? I still need 2 more books. Thanks so much for all you do for the sport. 🙂 Kathy

  • Neil says:

Hi, have you thought about turning your PDF guides into iBooks and selling them on the iBook Store?

  • LJ Jones says:

Mark, I ordered your “No-Nonsense Guide to Preventing and Curing Nuisance Algae Outbreaks” (got a lot out of the THE NO-NONSENSE GUIDE TO MARINE FISH DISEASES,TREATMENTS AND QUARANTINE). When I try to access the Algae guide I get a “invaled file” responce.
    Thanks
    lj

  • Lj…I just sent you an email to the address you used in your comment and the email bounced back. Therefore, please send me a note via the form on my website (http://www.mrsaltwatertank.com/contact) so I can get a hold of you.

  • Neil…the guides can always been loaded into iBooks on your iOS app and read there. No need to go through the iBooks store.

  • Kathy…check your email…I sent you a reply
