Does this sound familiar?

– You’ve been endlessly reading and researching the “best” way to start a saltwater tank, but all the opinions and choices have you at a perpetual standstill

– You’ve added equipment and fish over the last year or two, but your tank hasn’t turned out exactly how you wanted it to…and you’re not sure what minor adjustments will make it go the right direction

– You want to upgrade your tank, but you aren’t exactly sure how and when to do it.

I’ve got great news for you. I’ve spent nearly all of 2014 flying across the country building saltwater tanks for some very wealthy clients. Building saltwater tanks is what I do best. Not only that, I’ve spent the last year helping hundreds of clients build their saltwater tanks VIRTUALLY. And now I’ve got it down to a science.

You’re about to get my PROVEN system for building, tweaking or upgrading your saltwater tank (and you can implement it in the privacy and comfort of your own home)

Mr. Saltwater Tank’s Virtual Tank Build Program
ALL NEW Self-Paced Version

Whether you’re a newbie or an experienced hobbyist, you’ll discover strategies and tips designed to help you create a thriving saltwater tank.

Here’s what you’ll get when you dig into this program…

The first 5 weeks of the program represent the Accumulation Phase. I will discuss the gathering of saltwater tank gear and equipment in full detail. If you’ve already purchased all your gear, save your receipts because you may want to return items after this phase!

Session 1 – Tank Selection and Overflow Boxes

Choosing the right size tank is critical to your success in this hobby. Too often, I’ve seen people make the wrong choice based on uninformed advice from online forum users. If you make the wrong decision here, it creates a domino effect. If you’re looking at upgrading your tank, I’ll tell you the three things that should play into your decision.

Sessions 2 and 3 – Filtration and Sumps

Most people see filtration as an add-on to their tank. I see it as an integral decision to be made early on in your tank build. During the program, I’ll show you why. Sumps are another piece of equipment that most people see as a minor decision. Wrong! I’ll often spend hours choosing the size of the sump and exactly how I want it designed so that it complements the tank. Even if you aren’t running a sump on your tank, you’ll get into my head about exactly how your tank should be run.

Session 4 – Plumbing Design

Soft plumbing? Hard plumbing? Are 90 degree elbows really that bad? What size return pump do you need? These are questions that are all interconnected and require planning in advance. More people get scared off by plumbing than any other part of a saltwater tank build. I’ll show you exactly how to avoid getting leaks and how to plumb your tank once and not touch it again.

Session 5 – Lighting

Here’s some shocking news…I don’t always recommend LEDs for saltwater tanks. Choosing lighting is a critical choice that can blow your budget if you are not careful. And lighting your tank is a huge factor for long-term tank success. After this session, you’ll know exactly how to light YOUR tank.

Session 6 – Rock and Sand

Every saltwater tank needs biological filtration, and the combination of rock and sand plays a crucial role in this process. That said, using too much or too little of each has long-term effects on your tank. Reversing these effects takes a lot of effort. I’ll walk you through getting the combination right the first time. Hint: 1 lb of rock per gallon of tank water isn’t the answer!

Session 7 – Internal Flow

One of the biggest questions I get asked is about internal flow. How much is too much and how little is too little? Where should your powerheads be placed? Each of these questions have unique answers that affect how your tank will look in the next couple years.

“Session 7 [Internal Flow] was the best session to date. Informative and I loved the practical examples, photos on what can be a very hard subject to understand and get started with” – Bert L. Carlsbad, CA

Session 8 – Logistics

Your UPS delivery person now hates you for all the rock, sand and other equipment they’ve left on your door over the past couple of weeks. Now that you’ve accumulated all this gear, what happens next? What needs to be started weeks in advance of your tank build so there are no delays? I’ve built dozens of tanks and I’ll walk you through my logistics plan so that your build is done much sooner.

Session 9 – Building Your Tank

The Accumulation Phase is over and you’ve done all the planning you can do. It’s time now to get the tank wet and kick off building your own piece of the ocean. Here’s a hint for you…it is going to take longer than you think and that isn’t a bad thing.

Session 10 – Your Next 60 Days

Congratulations! You’ve made this far. The question is…now what? I’ll teach what to watch for, what to fear (or not to fear) and some “safe” corners you can cut to make your tank look better…faster.

This ALL NEW Self-Paced Version is a collection of
webinar-style session recordings which includes:

sparkling images of some of the epic saltwater tanks I’ve built this year

…and much more.

“Even though I went into labor before the first Session, even listening to the recordings has been incredibly helpful. I think they’re wonderful and thanks for giving me the chance to learn so much” – Madison, Scappoose, OR

“Just wanted to let you know I am enjoying the VTB sessions and I have learned some good information that I’ll use when I upgrade. I’m glad I was able to hook up with someone like you who has a lot of experience in the hobby and I plan to stay close to you as I go forward because I believe I can learn all I need to know to be successful with my tank(s)” – Bill G. Waterbury, CT

Bonus Guest Speaker: Ben Johnson, Plumbing Guru

Ben is my plumbing guru and for good reason. He’s worked in zoos and he installs and maintains aquariums in multi-million dollar homes. Emmet Smith, former player for the Dallas Cowboys, was one of Ben’s clients. You can bet if anything leaked, Ben was going to hear about it! Ben will be co-teaching the plumbing session and he critiques some of the plumbing on my builds. I put my work on the line to see if it passed Ben’s tests.

“I have to say that the Virtual tank build program you created is by far my favourite. You just can’t beat the interaction that you provide via webinar: pictures are worth a thousand words! For all the nay-sayers out there, go and find me a resource of this caliber and a REAL person who is willing to pull it all together and take the time to broadcast it and I will take it all back.” – Simon K, Alberta, Canada
