This holiday season, here’s one way to give back to others through your saltwater fish tank. And you’ll be de-cluttering your life as well!

Dude you need a hair cut.., lol
A nice idea but unless you are willing to commit to servicing the thank for them, you better also get a LFS that does servicing to donate there time as well. Otherwise you really need to get someone @ the organization to commit the time, and money for maintenance.
I would think that a local public school might be a better match if they had a teacher that could work it, and the maintenance in to there class…
That’s a great idea, I would like to do that except I can barely afford to do my tank. Maybe one day.
Noted Frankie and post updated!
Unless you’re also volunteering your time and money for years to come to maintain this tank, this video should fall under your terrible advice Tuesday column.
A simple softie or FOWLR tank is easy to maintain such that you could teach someone else to maintain it. We’re not talking about a full blown reef tank with all the bells and whistles. The tank could also be setup as a basic freshwater system
dude,
Your hair…YOUR HAIR!!!!! You look like Jim Carey on Dumb and Dumber the movie!!!!!!!LOL
Yeah, Not sure if old equipment laying around coincides much with donating time/money for ongoing maintenance and time/money to set up an entire Softie tank.
Maybe if you could get your entire club and LFS on board to gather enough equipment and LFS to donate regular maint. items/time. Rotate volunteers in and out. Highly unlikely though.
I think a better idea would be sell your equipment and donate the money.
Happy Holidays.
Big like.
Great vid Mr. Mark hope to see more:). Do u have a vid about crashed tanks that would benefit lots thx
Perfecto, i like it!!!! Great idea and hey im not here to bitch about hair lol
I have a clownfish that bullies the other clownfish. what should I do?
I did this with my old 55g and made it freshwater with easy fish for the kids @ the Boys & girls club to learn about aquatics and maintenance on. I opted out of setting up a saltwater as the maintenance cost is to high price wise for the club. The tank looks great and the kids love it.
