Been using these things for awhile now in my stand. They are great for keeping wiring organized to. I even use the strips with velcro to attach my Vortech controllers to my stand doors.

  • Mark H. says:

Mark and Kevin, good tip. 🙂

  • David T. says:

I have been using these for a while now. They work great. I even got one that has a loop to store my tubing that I use for doing water changes.

  • Mary says:

I like to use a magnetic frag rack to hold a lot of my stuff

  • enyourdreamz says:

I like to add one more thing to that idea.
“Make sure the items (net, frag equipment, etc.) are dry” prior to
hanging them. The worse thing is that water finds it way to an
electrical cord(s) and fry your equipment.
It’s better to be safe then sorry..

  • Chris boswell says:

Another tip is to hang these on the door with clips and they will be out of site as well

  • John says:

I use them for the wires under the tank and for the wires for the lights going down the back wall of the tank. Then if you need to move it you can and there is not many screw holes all over.

  • Very true enyourdreamz.

  • vic says:

i dont know why but i feel like filling those cracks on his wall……….

  • The vertical cracks Vic? If so, those are there by design. The edges of the wood is routed out. Not my style, and it’s not my house!

  • Perko says:

Great tip, I always forget to have a
towel handy and end up running through
the house with wet arms. Now I’ll have
somewhere to keep a towel 😉

  • I didn’t even think about towels Perko! Good call!

  • Kevin J says:

I kinda thought towels were an absolute must have around the tank. I have 3. You never know when a quick mop up may be needed. Like in the case of a spilled skimmer cup, serious nasty in the carpet.

Sounds like a great idea. What I use is a plastic over the door shoe organizer (with pockets) to put much of my stuff into…stores tools, meds, food, etc within easy reach and it’s out of sight on the back of a nearby door.

  • Jacob Jones says:

hey mark i like to smoke in my computer room which has my tank in it its a 30 gallon reef tank and its vary open with no lid. i work from home and i hate having to go outside or elsewhere for breaks when i need to be working. my tanks about 7 feet away from me do you think that smoking in my computer room will hurt my fish or corals. i would open my window. i know its a bad habit and i am trying to quit.

  • Jacob…Smoking in your fish room might raise your CO2 levels, which would depress you pH readings, and I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that happening.

  • Michael says:

Mark I just started a reef tank and I have a lot of questions can you call me if I give you my phone number

  • Michael says:

Can I just leave my phone number in the comments and you call me
